SAN ANGELO, TX - July 27, 2026 - Grace Christian has partnered with Presbyterian Children's Homes & Services (PCHAS) to bring a Child & Family Specialist into the church, offering free support to families across San Angelo facing crisis situations such as death, divorce, illness, and attachment or behavior issues. The specialist, Brandy Cantu, works with the whole family rather than treating a single problem in isolation, at no cost to those served.

PCHAS is a faith-based organization built around meeting people where they are and focusing on a family's strengths and future rather than dwelling on their problems. Services available through the partnership include case management and help connecting to community resources, emotional support for parents who feel overwhelmed, guidance for single parents and grandparents raising grandchildren, referrals and short-term counseling, and support for families at risk of homelessness. The program also offers Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) parent education and life skills training, along with TBRI Nurture groups for children, an approach designed specifically to help kids who have experienced trauma or disrupted attachment.

"Families don't always know where to turn when a crisis hits, and too often they feel like they have to face it alone. Having a PCHAS specialist here means we can walk with families through the hardest seasons and help them find hope, not just a quick fix," said Kelly Squyres, Director of Pastoral Care at Grace Christian.
