Set on the alien planet Solar Moon, this novel follows twelve-year-old Zion, who struggles with the absence of his father, lost in the catastrophic Battle Against Worlds. After a school prank goes awry, Zion discovers Yates, a damaged cyborg with no memory of his past. Together with his cat-hybrid companion Scratch and the fighter Tamera, they navigate danger, friendship, and the secrets of a universe threatened by the sinister Nefarious organization.

Lee created “Yates: Volume One” to bring his childhood inspirations—Looney Tunes, Dragon Ball Z, Rugrats, and The Simpsons—to life while exploring themes of loss, resilience, and hope. Influenced by artists such as Walt Disney, Bruce Timm, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Pablo Picasso, Lee has crafted a unique visual style that merges abstract design with vibrant storytelling.
