Fintech Infrastructure Extends Beyond the Customer App
Swiss AMF AG is outlining what a financial business should include when planning fintech infrastructure. A customer-facing account screen may be the most visible component, but the operating stack behind it must coordinate onboarding, accounts, transactions, product workflows, compliance and administration.
The first layer is the customer and business record. Onboarding captures information and documents, while permissions and internal processes determine how staff can manage a case. A second layer handles accounts, balances, ledger activity, fees and transaction history. Payment, card and digital-asset products then require their own workflows and operational controls.
Another layer connects external services. A financial business may need banking and payment providers, card issuers and processors, identity and AML specialists, and custody or liquidity providers. SAMFCore supplies the modular software environment and API-driven integration framework for selected providers. It is not itself the issuer, bank, custodian or screening service merely because those functions appear in a connected product journey.
The final layer is day-to-day operation. Reviews, role-based access, reporting, customer support and administrative tasks need to work alongside the product experience. A launch plan that focuses solely on acquiring an app and a provider contract can leave these operational dependencies unresolved.
From Product Idea to Operating Model
SAMFCore combines fiat accounts, payments, card workflows, digital assets, compliance processes and administration within one institutional platform. Its modular design allows a business to assess the capabilities relevant to its model and the external connections needed to deliver them. A deployment still requires configuration, suitable provider relationships and a review of technical and regulatory requirements.
A useful infrastructure assessment therefore starts with a workflow map: who the customers are, which products they will use, which internal teams handle exceptions, and which external providers perform the regulated or specialist services. That map can inform both software selection and the implementation plan.
Businesses building or modernising financial products can review SAMFCore's architecture at samfcore.com/overview and discuss their provider and integration requirements through the platform demonstration process.
